Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

Scope of This Policy

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, resources, and related services offered through redfamezo. These include professional training materials on studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting techniques, sound wave management, and workflows for television news and live shows. The policy covers both one-time course acquisitions and any subscription-based access to ongoing content updates. It governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and under what circumstances refunds may be issued. This document does not cover physical goods or in-person training sessions.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices displayed on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Customers outside the UK may see prices adjusted for local taxes depending on their location, but UK residents are charged the standard UK VAT rate. Additional charges may arise for expedited access to premium modules or for extended subscription periods beyond the standard term. Any such extras are clearly indicated before checkout. redfamezo reserves the right to adjust prices for future purchases, but existing orders remain at the confirmed price. Currency conversion fees charged by your payment provider are your responsibility and are not included in the displayed price.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for course purchases. All card payments are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of order details. If authorisation fails, the order will not proceed and you will receive notification. redfamezo does not store full card details; these are handled solely by the payment processor. For recurring subscriptions, you authorise ongoing charges until cancelled. Suspected fraudulent activity may lead to order suspension pending verification.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

Once you complete the checkout process and receive an email confirmation from redfamezo, a binding contract is formed under UK law. The confirmation includes order details, price paid, and access instructions. Until this confirmation is sent, no contract exists and you may cancel without penalty. Digital content access begins only after payment clearance. For subscriptions, the contract renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation to cancel without reason. However, for digital content, this right is lost once download or streaming access begins, provided you gave explicit consent to start early. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, but refunds for unused portions depend on the specific terms. Cancellation requests must be made via the contact form on the Contacts page or by emailing [email protected].

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available within the 14-day period if no access to digital content has occurred. Once you have started viewing or downloading course materials, refunds are generally not granted except in cases of technical fault on our side. Non-refundable items include promotional bundles, completed modules, and any content accessed during a trial. Services such as personalised workflow consultations are non-refundable after delivery begins. Eligibility is assessed case by case.

Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, submit a written request through the contact form on the Contacts page or email [email protected] with your order number, purchase date, and reason. Include any relevant details such as error messages encountered. Requests must be made within the applicable time limits. 01494 671234 is available for urgent queries during business hours. We acknowledge receipt within two working days and guide you through any additional information needed.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Upon receiving your request, redfamezo reviews it against the policy criteria. You may be asked to provide proof of purchase or describe the issue. Approval or rejection is communicated by email within ten working days. If rejected, the email explains the reason and any appeal options. Approved refunds are processed promptly, and you receive confirmation once initiated.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days, while PayPal refunds process faster. Bank transfers may take up to fourteen days depending on your provider. Processing begins only after approval. If funds do not reach you within the expected timeframe, contact [email protected] for assistance.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital courses are non-returnable once accessed. Subscriptions can be paused or cancelled via your account dashboard, with pro-rata refunds possible only during the cooling-off period. Promotional offers such as discounted first-month access are subject to the same eligibility rules but may have shorter cancellation windows clearly stated at purchase. No refunds apply to content downloaded or streamed.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in order cancellation and notification. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically if confirmed. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account review. Suspected fraud triggers immediate order hold and possible reporting to authorities. Customers disputing charges should first contact [email protected] to resolve issues amicably.

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, or PECR. You retain rights to goods and services of satisfactory quality, and remedies for faulty digital content. These rights cannot be excluded by contract. If you believe your rights have been breached, independent advice is available from Citizens Advice or the Competition and Markets Authority.
